General Restaurant Terms and Conditions
1. It is theQuarters policy when booking a table of 8 or more to request a £5 per head deposit.
2. You will be directed to the website terms and conditions prior to confirmation of your booking, as you are required to confirm acceptance of these terms.
3. The menu discussed and finalised on your confirmation, will be the only menu available for your party.
4. 48 hours notice will be required if there is a decrease in numbers of more than 20%. 7 days notice is required on cancellations of party bookings. Failure to comply with this will result in a £5 per head cancellation charge.
5. If numbers increase, we would appreciate 24 hours notice to be able to accommodate your party.
6. Your table will be ready for you at the time stated. Pre-dinner drinks should be arranged at a time before this.
7. Tables are held for 15 minutes before reallocating them or they may have to wait for another time slot, we require the table back 2 hours after the booking time unless a private area has been hired.
8. Party bookings of eight or more are limited to time slots of 7pm and 9pm on Friday and Saturday.
9. Large parties may be seated on separate tables, depending on numbers.
10. A non discretionary 10% table charge will be added to all tables. If you have had great service, we would appreciate any cash gratuities that will be shared amongst the staff.
11. Separate Terms and Conditions will be issued when booking an event or a private hire.
12. If you wish to bring in a Birthday cake it may be subject to a cakeage charge of £1 per person if presented and served to your party in replacement of desserts, however, if 50% or more of your party orders dessert no charge would be levied.
13. The management reserves the right to cancel any bookings subject to giving 7 days notice.
14. theQuarter will be under no liability for any loss or damage to guest’s property.
15. Adult above the age of 21 are welcome into the Bar. ID may be requested, failure to produce may result in management refusing entry.
16. The management reserves the right to refuse entry to any member of the public.
17. Children (below the age of 16) are welcomed to theQuarter when accompanied by an adult, up to 6pm in the Bar and up to 8pm in the Restaurant.
18. People under the age of 18 that are not accompanied by an adult are not welcome into the bar. ID may be requested, failure to produce may result in management refusing entry.
19. The management reserves the right to refuse entry to any member of the public.
20. Email address collected via comment cards, email enquiries and the website, will be added to our database. Our database is a means of keeping our customer informed of our events. These details will not be passed on to third parties. You can ask to be removed from our database at any time by emailing your request.
21. Winners of the comment card monthly draw to win a meal for two will be contacted directly. A meal for two means either lunch up to value of £20 or dinner up to the value of £30 Monday to Thursday and does not include drinks.
22. Other competition winners have a maximum spend of £30 for lunch and £45 for dinner including drinks.
23. Vouchers and credit notes are not transferable to a third party.
Additional Christmas Terms and Conditions (groups of 6 or more)
Apply from 1st to the 23rd December
24. theQuarter reserves the right to make alterations to the promoted Xmas menu.
25. It is theQuarters policy when booking Christmas party to request a £10 per head deposit.
26. Your party should be ready to be seated at the agreed time of dining, parties should note that tables will be held for 15 minutes only, if at this time the party is not seated, the table will be re-allocated or they may have to wait for another time slot.
27. Any deposit paid for a function that is later cancelled will not be returned in the form of cash, cheque or refunded to a credit card.
28. Any parties that cancel within two weeks prior to the reservation will loss full deposit paid.
29. If a booking is cancelled up to one month prior to reservation the total deposit paid will be honoured for a future dining experience only to be take within two months of your booking date.

Terms & Conditions for Private Functions Please read our terms and conditions to ensure the safe efficient running of your event. Private Hire Our private hire room is situated on the lower ground floor, unfortunately there is no lift access to the lower ground floor, however, the ground floor has disabled access and adequate facilities.
Meetings Room hire charges for conferences and meeting is £50.00 per hour from 9am to 5pm. Parties Room hire charged at £500. Hire charge is negotiable, if a buffet required and/or a minimum spend on the bar is guaranteed, please call for more information. Deposit All day room hire requires a 50% non-refundable deposit paid no later than one week prior to booking to confirm your booking. All evening hire require a £500 deposit payable at the time of booking. Payment Unless otherwise agreed in writing with the Quarter, payment of a function must be made in full at the end of the function. We do not accept cheques payment can be made by credit card, we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. All bookings will be provisional until deposit and written confirmation of date, times and numbers have been received from the customer to The Quarter. All bookings are subject to these Terms and Conditions.
Final numbers, timings and menu must be confirmed in writing at least one week prior to the event. The final numbers given here will be the number charged for on the day unless numbers increase, in which case an additional charge will be payable.
The Quarter Restaurant & Bar accepts the following major Credit and Debit Cards, American Express, Mastercard, Visa, Maestro and Delta. Payment by cheque will only be accepted if the cheque has cleared our bank account in advance of the date of the function. Please make cheques payable to The Quarter.
Payment for any balance outstanding on the evening of the function can only be accepted in cash or on one of our accepted Credit/Debit Cards.
Should you wish to pay by more than one card on the day, this must be by prior written agreement.
Food The lower ground private hire space can cater buffet style for up to 150 people. The buffet is charged at £12 per head. Canapés are also available and are charged at £15 for a choice of 7 from the list. Menus are available on request. A single choice, set menu only, is available in the ground floor restaurant (one menu per party). Special dietary needs can be accommodated and must be notified in advance with your menu selection. Wine/Water/Beverages We will require you to pre-order your drinks selection at least ten days prior to your booking. Tea and Coffee are charged at £2.00 per person. Please advise us if you require drinks on arrival as a limited bar service is available on request. Considerations Only wine, beer and spirits purchased from the bar may be consumed on the Quarter’s premises during licensing hours. Alcohol that is not purchased through the Quarter will incur a £8 per bottle corkage charge.
Music must cease15 minutes prior to the booking time to allow guests to drink up and clear the premises. If a DJ is providing entertainment, they MUST NOT use pyrotechnics. The Quarter is in a residential area and we have very strict volume restrictions. In order to adhere to these restrictions the use of amplified bands in the basement is restricted.
Hirer’s responsibilities:The hirer of the function will be held responsible for:
The good behaviour of all guests.
Ensuring that all guests vacate the premises by no later than the specified time as agreed when booking. It is therefore essential that any mini cabs booked in advance are ordered to arrive in time.
Due to the Quarter’s proximity to a residential area, please ensure that all guests leave in an orderly and quiet manner.
Please ensure that all guests are aware of local fire procedures. Current information is available in all rooms.
All guests must sign in on arrival, or a list of guest should be provided on the day, this enables us to manage the capacity and evacuation in case of fire.
Amendments and Cancellations by the Customer
Any amendments to numbers or arrangements must be confirmed in writing to The Quarter.
Cancellation made by the customer will be subject to the following charges:-

In addition to the above, if the customer cancels any other Goods and Services ordered by the Customer in connection with the booking, the Customer shall reimburse The Quarter any loss which it sustains in connection with such a cancellation.
The Customer agrees not to enter into any contracts for music or other forms of entertainment or other services in connection with the function without prior written consent of The Quarter, such permission not to be unreasonably withheld.
Force Majeure. The Quarter will not accept liability or pay compensation for any loss, damage or expense for any failure due to Force Majeure. This shall include without limitation any service which we or any of our suppliers could not provide due to war, threat of war, riots, civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial action, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions, closure of airports or ports, governmental intervention, accidents or technical problems with transport.
The Quarter reserves the right to cancel a booking in the case of any circumstances not covered by Force Majeure clause above. In such event the customer will be given as much notice as possible of any cancellation and any monies paid by the customer will be refunded. However no compensation for any loss, damage or expense will be paid.
Licencing Regulations
As a condition of our license, The Quarter have to ensure that the licensing laws are adhered to, particularly
i) No person under the age of 18 years may consume or purchase intoxicating liquor
ii) At the closure of the bar all drinks must be consumed within 20 minutes.
The co-operation of our customers is required in helping us to comply with these regulations.
General All evening celebrations must finish by the specified time as agreed when booking.
The customer must comply with all relevant statutory regulations and are responsible for ensuring that contractors employed by them, i.e. band, musicians comply with statutory requirements including sound level management.
The hirer shall be responsible for payment of any damage caused by the customer, guests or any contractors employed by the customer to The Quarter.
The Quarter shall not be responsible for the loss or damage of any articles left at the venue prior to, during or after the event.
The Quarter operates a no smoking policy within the premises to ensure that all guests can enjoy a healthy and clean atmosphere throughout their visit.
Evening buffet menu does require that a minimum of 50% of the total guests must be catered for.
All prices exclude public and bank holidays. Prices available on request. Customer’s Use of the premises / Damage
The hirer is responsible for any damage caused to the Quarter premises, furnishings, fittings or equipment, or by any member of their party, sub-contractor or guests. Any deposit taken will be used to offset the cost of any damage caused to the premises.The Quarter will require immediate payment of any balance to remedy any damage caused. It is recommended that appropriate insurance is obtained to cover any liability. Alterations may not be made to the fabric of the premises, or electrical and plumbing apparatus, without consent from the Manager. All customers must comply with the regulations of the Quarter whether internal or enforced by third parties, including licensing, health and safety, and fire. Customers may not consume food or drink within the premises boundary which has not been supplied by the Quarter Restaurant & Bar, unless written authorisation has been given. The Quarter reserves the right to charge the tariff rate for any such items. Any advertising material incorporating images or logos of the Quarter or its associated company must be agreed by the Director prior to use. The Quarter retains the right to cancel any reservation that has not adhered to the above terms and conditions. THE RIGHT TO REVISE MENUS AND PRICES WITHOUT NOTICE IS RESERVED
